Having finally had enough with being gauged by Adobe, I switched to a combination of GIMP, Affinity Designer, and DaVinci Resolve.

I’m still getting used to DaVince Resolve. Today, I had an issue where playback wouldn’t continue, the video would keep stopping.

Here’s why it happened for me.

 

 

I accidentally turned on ‘Dynamic Trim Mode (Slip’). If you’re having the same situation as me, check to see if this icon has been pressed. If so, press it again so it’s gray-ish. Then your playback hopefully won’t stop after a few seconds.
